Jet Lag Reset is our jet lag IV drip in Krabi, for the first day or two after a long flight. A long-haul flight leaves most people dry, foggy and short on sleep. This drip rehydrates you and tops up B vitamins, magnesium and vitamin C, so your first days on the beach feel less of a blur.

A registered nurse gives every drip, at our Ao Nang clinic or at your hotel or villa within our area.

Who jet lag IV therapy is for

Jet Lag Reset suits healthy adults who have just arrived and feel:

  • Tired and heavy-headed, but unable to sleep properly
  • Dehydrated from dry cabin air, airport coffee or a drink on the plane
  • Low on energy, just when the holiday is supposed to start

It’s popular over Christmas and New Year, when many guests land after long-haul flights from the UK, Europe and Australia and want to make the most of a short break.

Jet lag itself comes from your body clock being out of step with local time, and no drip can reset that for you. The NHS says jet lag usually improves within a few days as your body adjusts. What a drip can do is deal with the dehydration and tiredness that make those first days harder.

What’s in our jet lag IV drip in Krabi

Each Jet Lag Reset drip contains:

  • A hydration base: IV fluids to replace what you lost in the dry cabin air
  • Vitamin B12
  • Magnesium: often chosen by guests who feel tense or achy after a long flight
  • B-complex vitamins
  • Vitamin C

The drip takes about 45 minutes. A registered nurse runs a short health screening first and may adjust the formula to suit you.

A first-day-in-Krabi plan

The drip works best as part of a simple routine for your first day:

  1. Get outside in daylight. The NHS recommends natural light to help your body clock adjust. A morning walk along Ao Nang beach is ideal.
  2. Have your drip in the late morning or early afternoon, at the clinic or in your room.
  3. Avoid a long nap. If you must sleep, keep it short and set an alarm.
  4. Drink water steadily, and go easy on alcohol and caffeine, which the NHS says can make jet lag worse.
  5. Go to bed at a normal local time, even if you’re not sleepy.

What to expect

After screening, the nurse places a small sterile cannula in your arm and you relax while the drip runs. Many guests feel more refreshed afterwards, though how much difference you notice varies. You can head to the beach straight afterwards.

Clinic or hotel visit

After a long journey, most people prefer not to go anywhere. Our IV drip hotel visits in Krabi bring the nurse to your room, villa or bungalow. If you’re feeling run down as well as tired, ask about Immune Shield, our vitamin C and zinc drip. You can compare every option on our drip menu. The price and duration of Jet Lag Reset are shown on this page.

Who shouldn’t have Jet Lag Reset

The nurse will decline or adjust the drip if you are pregnant, have heart or kidney problems, have high blood pressure that isn’t controlled, or take medicines that could interact with the ingredients. Mention every medical condition, even unrelated ones.

When to go to hospital instead

Some symptoms after a flight need a doctor, not a drip. Go to hospital, or call 1669 for an ambulance, if you have:

  • Pain, swelling, warmth or redness in one calf or leg
  • Chest pain or sudden shortness of breath
  • A sudden severe headache, confusion, or weakness on one side
  • A high fever, or vomiting that stops you keeping fluids down

Calf pain or breathlessness after a flight can signal a blood clot. The nearest hospitals are Wattanapat Hospital Ao Nang, Bangkok Hospital Krabi and Krabi Hospital (government).

Frequently asked questions

How soon after landing can I have a jet lag IV drip?

Yes, on the day you arrive. Most guests check in and shower first.

Will it help me sleep tonight?

It isn’t a sleeping aid. Rehydrating can help you feel better, and following the daylight and bedtime tips above gives your body clock the best chance to adjust.

Can I have it before my flight home?

Yes. Some guests book it on their last day. Allow time to finish before you leave for the airport.

Can our whole family have one?

Each adult has their own screening first. Message us and we’ll tell you what’s possible for your group.
