Safety

Is IV drip therapy safe?

Given by trained medical staff after proper screening, IV therapy is very safe. A registered nurse checks your blood pressure, history, medicines and allergies before every drip and stays with you throughout. Read more in Is an IV drip safe in Thailand?

Who should not have an IV drip?

Drips may not be suitable in pregnancy, with heart or kidney conditions, or with some medicines. The nurse will talk this through during screening.

Does it hurt?

You’ll feel a quick pinch as the small cannula goes in. After that most people feel nothing more than a cool sensation in the arm.

Can I have a drip if I’m still drunk?

No. If you still seem intoxicated, the nurse will postpone the drip for your safety. See hangover drip timing.

Booking & visits

How quickly can a nurse reach my hotel?

It depends on where you’re staying and how busy we are. Send your hotel name and we’ll give you an honest arrival time before you confirm.

Which areas do you cover?

Ao Nang, Nopparat Thara, Klong Muang, Tubkaek and Railay (by longtail boat). See hotel & villa visits.

Can several of us have a drip together?

Yes. Each person has their own screening and can choose a different drip. See group & wedding drips.

How long does a drip take?

Most drips take 30–45 minutes once the line is in. Allow about an hour in total including the health check.

Payment & insurance

How do I pay?

After your treatment, by cash (THB), Thai QR / PromptPay or card.

Will travel insurance cover my drip?

It depends on your policy and the reason for the drip. We give you an itemised receipt. Read does travel insurance cover an IV drip?

Where can I see prices?

All current prices are on our drip menu. Any visit fee for your area is quoted when you book.

After your drip

Can I swim after a drip?

Keep the puncture site dry for the rest of the day and ask your nurse. See IV drip aftercare.

How long do the effects last?

Hydration benefits are felt within hours; how long they last depends on what caused the dehydration. See how long IV drip effects last.

What if I feel unwell afterwards?

Message us straight away. For chest pain, breathing problems or confusion, call 1669 or go to the nearest hospital.
