Wondering what IV drip for a hangover, or which one helps after a long flight? Start with how you feel, not the ingredient list. Match your main symptom to a drip using the table below, and our nurse will confirm the choice at your health screening.
Our menu has six drips. Each one has a different focus, but they all start with fluids, and they’re all given by a registered nurse at our Ao Nang clinic or in your hotel room or villa.
What does an IV drip do for you?
An IV drip delivers fluid, electrolytes and vitamins straight into a vein, so they don’t depend on your stomach. The fluid is the part with the clearest benefit: it helps when you’re dehydrated from heat, alcohol, travel or a stomach bug.

The vitamins and minerals vary by drip. Be wary of big promises, though. The Cleveland Clinic notes that there’s limited scientific evidence for general wellness benefits from IV vitamins. We describe what’s in each bag and what it’s meant to support, and let you decide.

What IV drip for a hangover?
Hangover Rescue is our hangover IV drip. So what is a hangover IV? Ours is a 1,000 ml bag of saline with B-complex, vitamin C and electrolytes. The nurse can add anti-nausea medicine and pain relief if they assess it as suitable for you.

It’s aimed at the parts of a hangover that come from dehydration and an upset stomach. It doesn’t remove alcohol from your body or speed up your liver. For an honest look at the evidence, read do hangover IV drips work?
If you’re only mildly rough and can keep water down, you may not need a drip at all. Our guide to IV hydration vs drinking water explains when water and rehydration salts are enough.
The rest of the menu at a glance
Island Hydration (30–45 min). Balanced saline with electrolytes and B-complex. Our simplest drip, for heat, sweat, boat days and recovering from a tummy bug.

Myers’ Cocktail (45 min). Magnesium, calcium, B-complex, B12 and vitamin C in a hydrating base. Popular with climbers, divers and people who’ve packed a lot into their trip.
Immune Shield (45 min). High-dose vitamin C, zinc and B-complex, finished with a glutathione push. For when you feel run down while travelling. It supports your body; it doesn’t stop you catching anything.
Jet Lag Reset (45 min). A hydration base with B12, magnesium, B-complex and vitamin C. Long flights are dehydrating, and many guests book it on arrival day.
Glow & Glutathione (45 min). Glutathione, vitamin C and biotin in a hydration base. We offer it as antioxidant and hydration support after sun and travel, not to change your skin colour.
Is an IV drip good for you?
For a healthy adult who’s dehydrated, a drip given after a proper screening is generally low-risk. It isn’t right for everyone, though. Some people need to take extra care or avoid drips, including people who are pregnant or have heart, kidney or liver disease. Our guide is an IV drip safe in Thailand? covers this in more detail.
That’s one reason every drip begins with a short health screening by a registered nurse. Based on your answers, the nurse may adjust the formula, suggest a different drip, or advise you to see a doctor instead.
Still not sure? Ask the nurse
You don’t need to get the choice right before you book. Tell us how you’re feeling, what you’ve got planned and any health conditions, and the nurse will recommend a drip at your screening.

You can come to our clinic or have the nurse come to you through our hotel and villa visits. When you’re ready, book a drip online or message us on WhatsApp.
When to go to hospital instead
A drip is for mild dehydration, hangovers and feeling run down. It isn’t emergency care. Go to hospital, or call 1669 for an ambulance, if you have:
- Chest pain, difficulty breathing or a racing heart
- Confusion, fainting or a seizure
- A high fever, severe headache or stiff neck
- Vomiting you can’t stop, blood in vomit or stool, or severe stomach pain
- Swelling of the face, lips or tongue, or a widespread rash
The nearest hospitals are Wattanapat Hospital Ao Nang, Bangkok Hospital Krabi and Krabi Hospital.
Frequently asked questions
What IV drip is best for a hangover?
Our Hangover Rescue drip is designed for it: fluids, vitamins and electrolytes, plus anti-nausea medicine and pain relief if the nurse assesses them as suitable. If you’re only mildly hungover, water and rehydration salts may be enough.
Can I mix and match ingredients?
The nurse may adjust a drip’s formula based on your screening. If you have something specific in mind, mention it when you book and the nurse will tell you whether it’s suitable.
Can two people have different drips at the same visit?
Yes. Each person has their own screening and chooses their own drip. Tell us how many people when you book.
Which drip is best for a stomach bug?
Island Hydration is usually the best fit if you’re recovering and mildly dehydrated. If you have a high fever, blood in your stool or can’t keep anything down for a day, see a doctor instead.
